High Peaks Federal Credit Union came about as the result of a merger in December 1997 between the Dillon Federal Credit Union of Dillon, MT and Tobacco Root Federal Credit Union of Whitehall, MT., two long time federal credit unions. In September of 2000, a third branch was opened in Sheridan, MT. As a result of this merger and the opening of the branch in Sheridan, High Peaks FCU now serves all those who "live, work or worship" in Beaverhead County, Madison County and the southern part of Jefferson County. Your funds at High Peaks FCU are insured to $250,000.00 by the "National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund" a government agency.
Eligibility:
Membership in High Peaks Federal Credit Union is open to anyone who "lives, works or worships" in Beaverhead County, Madison County and the Southern part of Jefferson County, Montana. Membership is also open to immediate family members of those eligible in the above field of membership. High Peaks Federal Credit Union follows the rule of "once a member always a member".
