Your Deposits Federally Insured

The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund was created by Congress in 1970 to insure members' deposits in federally insured credit unions. The NCUSIF is administered by the National Credit Union Administration and has the backing of the full faith and credit of the United States.

Each High Peaks Federal Credit Union member receives at least $250,000 in coverage. Additionally, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) are separately insured by the NCUSIF up to $250,000 per member, with additional coverage for members’ trust accounts also available.

Credit union members have never lost even a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union, so you can rest assured your money is safe.
